First, don't call a Egyptian an Arab as that makes them upset.

As to the Palestinians, they'll mediate for them, they just don't want them and their descendants in their country. Many Muslim countries will talk for them, but take them in they'll say no automatically. AFAIK, there isn't a current Middle Eastern or N African Muslim country that will grant the descendants citizenship. Even Jordan keeps the ones from Syria in a tent city on their northern border and won't allow them to travel south and mix with their citizens. I guess Jordan has forgiven them yet for Black September.

Evangelical influence was mentioned earlier on this thread. The Jerusalem Post is saying the same thing. Conservative Christian/Evangelicals have been influencing policies for years in Israel under all Presidents. BeliefNet has a very good in depth article on it.

Intense push by US evangelicals helped set stage for Trump's decision on Jerusalem - Israel News - Jerusalem Post

On the Road to Armageddon: How Evangelicals Became Israel's Best Friend by Timothy P. Weber - Beliefnet

This one is good too:
The president just gave Jerusalem to the Evangelicals for Christmas, as a capital of their very own. After all, who else but Trump could make the Apocalypse great again

US Jerusalem move: Fury spreads from Jakarta to Rabat | News | Al Jazeera

Great, just in case enough people did not hate us already What was the necessity for this stunt?

Much of the Muslim world is anti-Semitic and hates Israel. Therefore, their reaction is not surprising.

Israel has always been in the lion’s den.

Being subject to terrorists means encouraging them
If the terrorists want to leave what they want to the world with the power of terrorism
The world must not prevent them from imposing their will on the truth because truth is stronger than Islamic terrorism

Yes Muslims differ among themselves on everything
In the method of shaving the chin and shaving the mustache
They differ on the urine of the camel. Is it a rabbinical remedy?
They disagree with the four schools of thought
Aisha leads the Muslim armies
But they agree that the Jews are God
Jerusalem is Arab while it is Jewish and its first temple was Jewish
Why does not the world say the truth as it is

Muslims believe in the myth of Isra and Maraj
They consider the Al-Aqsa Mosque to be the third sanctuary in Islam
While the truth is that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was not built until the Islamic conquest of Palestine and the control of Christian and Jewish holy sites also and that the location of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the Temple of Jerusalem
This is the historical truth

The Arab League resolution was agreed at 03:00 (01:00 GMT) after hours of talks in Cairo. It was backed by a number of US allies, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, who had already voiced their concern.

The resolution said:
- The US had "withdrawn itself as a sponsor and broker" of any possible Israeli-Palestinian peace process through its decision
- Mr Trump's move "deepens tension, ignites anger and threatens to plunge region into more violence and chaos"
- A request would be made for the UN Security Council to condemn the move

At an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday, the US found itself isolated, with the other 14 members all condemning Mr Trump's declaration.

The above is from the BBC.
Trump's Jerusalem move: Arab allies attack decision
When have the Arabs sought peace in 70 years. What should the West do, keep waiting? There's always reason why it's a "bad time" for real negotiations and real peace.

Let's face facts; hell will freeze over before Jerusalem goes back.

But we are told that this will increase the chances for peace.

Trump is not a politician nor does he have aspirations to become one. He is the common man who has stated and done what was on his mind.

And as POTUS he will have further gifts for the world in 2018.
Truman did likewise. The State Department wanted him to delay recognizing Israel until it could negotiate the "disputes." We'd still be waiting.

Truman also desegregated the Army and Army housing. And dropped the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Is Japan an enemy today?

The Arabs will always be angry about Israel, until they aren't. Appeasement never works.
