This is already looking the GOP pattern. Tax cuts for the wealthy followed by what looks to be Trump stirring up a war with North Korea because he just can't help himself and a willing Republican Party happy to cash in on the war machine, followed by huge deficits. Next will be the "Deficits are too high after we gave the wealthy their huge tax cut so now we need to cut entitlements like those greedy seniors! Seniors need to work until they're 80!"

Congress has no right to cut social security. It is NOT an entitlement. Me and everyone who has worked has paid into those programs. They gutted social security years ago to pay for their useless wars and tax cuts for the wealthy. It's unconscionable. I guarantee you that you are not near retirement age nor do you need healthcare because you wouldn't be so cavalier about it.

Right. What the GOP doesn't even think about is that all those social security, Medicare and Medicaid recipients vote.

what a stupid thread
It appears half the country scorns personal responsibility. Whatever, they can cut all they want. I won't be using either or SS.

We need to get back to teaching econ and personal responsibility in our public schools so we don't have a bunch of old deadbeats like we have now.
