If one assumes the worse, everyone an officer approaches gets shot.
That's if it's only cops who assume the worst. They're walking around armed -- why shouldn't we assume the worst about them? It could be the officer who gets shot, if we all assume the worst about them. Especially if we assume that they're assuming the worst about us. But, either way, assuming the worst makes for a LOT of bloodshed.
And you expect cops to teleport into the future to see if someone was behind the door? You only see the lead officer's point of view and he had his firearm pointed.
You are missing the point..again. You make someone crawl away from a door under the guise of not wanting to be attacked by someone standing behind the door.
You kill the guy crawling, and then go right in front of the door and fumble around like a sitting duck.

You don't stand in front of a door if you think someone on the other side has a gun.

In this instance, no one was armed but the spastic officers.
He didn't have a gun, and -- no -- you're wrong with the second part as well.
They didn't knew that. And actually he did had two pellet guns in his room. Not to say he could've done much with them, however again, they didn't knew that.

Think really hard about it.
There were a lot of things done wrong tactically speaking. But again, youre dealing with a man with a gun so your adrenaline is already pumped. Add to the fact that one shot a rifle indoors without hearing protection. We can coulda shoulda wlulda this all day long, at the end of the day, the shooting in it of itself was justified in the literal sense.
trained police officers do not forget that it's very dangerous to stand in front of a door when you think there is a shooter on the other side. But why are you so desperate to make excuses for these cops?

Not only that, but since he was face down when he "reached behind his back" the cops would've been able to see if he were pulling out a weapon. In this case behind the back isn't concealed. His front would've been more concealed.
