Forget comparing porn and prostitution. If women can "rent" their wombs (surrogacy), why not other parts?

I'm just posing the questiin.

You just DID go into the abortion issue.

I wish people would learn that, contrary to what many seem to think, the majority of pro-lifers are women, and the majority of pro-choicers are men. True story. So, if you have an issue with abortion (I'm not suggesting you're wrong to do so), you shouldn't frame your argument implying that abortion is solely a woman's decision. If often isn't.

I see your point.

However, hypocrisy is not restricted to those who are religious.

I have witnessed hypocrisy creep up in all kinds of areas and people.

It's a people thing in general.

I wonder how many men would stay single if prostitution had no stigma attached?

Prostitution is legal if you film it. Then it's called porn.

I doubt it affects men as much as women... no one really "cares" if a men has sex with random people or if they paid for it

if prostitution was legal, would it be sexual assault to go up to someone and ask how much for the night?

And you would be wrong.

How many members of congress have voted to make prostitution legal? Are they all part of the "religious right?"

It's two separate things. When you produce an adult production, you are hiring people to perform in the name of creativity. Prostitution involves personal sexual gratification.

It's really not that hard to understand. I don't know why so many people do, unless they're just simple-minded folk.

Fortunately, the Ninth Circuit Court Of Appeals is currently reviewing California's law against prostitution. There's a fair chance it may be struck down.

Prostitutes can never replace real relationships.. There are many still that still desire companionship beyond the few hours of sex. It is a business transaction/fantasy no more no less. It is my observation is that most are either currently married or actively still pursuing relationships.

With that said, marriage is loosing popularity essentially making way to serial monogamy. This is happening regardless the current stigma around prostitution.
