Grassley, Chair of Senate Judiciary Committee, has recommended 2 nominations be withdrawn:

Jeff Mateer for Federal Judge Texas- in public speeches referred to transgender children as Satan's Spawn

Brett Tally for Federal Judge - Alabama is a long time advocate of KKK and denier of its history. American Bar Association deem him unfit due to a lack of experience.

Who in the WH vouched for these two? One would think the Admin would vett before putting POTUS in the position of nominating goof balls.

Honestly, I have no problem with Jeff Mateer's nomination being withdrawn. He has extreme hate in his heart and would not be a good fit as a judge. Well, perhaps he would, but given his previous statements, I don't want to even give him the opportunity, especially given the special role judges play in our democracy.

As for Tally, I wouldn't have a problem with him serving on the court, but won't be upset with another, less controversial nominee either.

Good questions !!!

The system is working though. They didn't slip by or get appointed at this time, and likely won't get appointed.

Gotta be pretty bad if Grassley won't rubber stamp these two.
