"A top government official and former Oklahoma City Mayor, Kirk Humphreys, has caused outrage after saying pedophiles should have the same rights as gay people because "sleeping with little boys is OK" during a live TV discussion.
Humphreys made the comments on political panel show The Flash Point when he went off topic to blast former US representative Barney Frank, an openly gay politician.
When the host, Kevin Ogle and guest Rep. Emily Virgin asked what Frank had done wrong he said, "if homosexuality is OK, so is pedophilia."

Bannon and friends will probably start grooming him for a senate run ... he checks all the right boxes in this environment and the coming descent into madness.
I strongly suspect that the comment was made as an argument against the rights of gay and transgendered people: If we allow A, we must also allow B.
If you dislike something, yes, sure, link it to something everyone dislikes, and make the universally disliked thing appear to be the next logical step. People do this all the time, and it's so stupid and weak, it really shouldn't be as effective as it is.
We narrowly missed having a Senator who has been credibly accused of molesting children, yet you are worried about gay rights leading to legal pedophilia? I'm not sure what hole some people's heads have been in, but I really hope they would remove them at once.
First, from what I read the comment seemed to have been made because Humphreys opposes homosexuality. In other words, he was equating the two because both were bad (in his eyes). Or so it seemed to me. Hardly someone calling for pedophile rights. I also note he is currently facing calls to resign over this incident, so hardly a show of support for his position, however he meant it.
Second, even if this one person, or even a handful of people, think that way does not mean we are going to see a sudden rush for legalizing pedophilia. Pedophilia can and does occur to children of the opposite sex of their victims. I'd venture to guess more often than pedophilia between a victim and perpetrator of the same sex. There simply is no correlation and most people understand that.
The first post is scarier than the headline it (wrongly) talks about. Then again, as soon as I see RINO/ DINO, the post is nearly always coming from one of the extremes.

He's a Republican and was making the argument against gays. Moderator cut: trolling
The liberals fought hard to break the dam, now they're fighting hard to hold it. The pervs in the republican establishment want some of the action now.
