Good for Paul Ryan.

Liberals would like you to have more abortions. I'll take Ryan.

For over a decade, manufactures of farm tractors having been trying to make an automated tractor, but have failed. Until AI arrives, there will be many jobs that won't be replace by robots or automation.

Japan is investing a lot into AI, but I doubt it anything meaningful will come from all that research. A real AI is the only solution, but that is realm limited to science fiction at moment, which will probably not change in my life time or anyone on this forum.
No, they won't.

But automated systems don't have to do everything to do a lot. I'm 70, so I probably won't live long enough to see self-driving cars or trucks become a thing. But my daughter will.

The point is, though, that Ryan is wrong about needing people to replace us boomers. To take a trivial example, just about anyone who uses online shopping or online banking is voluntarily taking on tasks that used to require an actual paid service rep. Yes, service reps still exist, but a lot more of them would be required if it weren't for the online systems. And this same kind of thing is popping up everywhere. It takes fewer people to handle more customers than it used to. AI or not.

Europe’s birth rate is substantially lower than ours.

History shows that more social welfare lowers the birth rate.

Germany birth rate 1.4, USA 1.9.

Uh, I think what Paul Ryan means is, he wants more productive, hard labor, tax paying people to start breeding so that him and his ilk still have cash flow coming in. The liberals are purposefully trying to push abortion on the poor people because in the end, they are no longer needed for their votes. They now got the Muslims, South of the Border, women and the LGBT community to vote for them....

We don't need more workers.

We have robots.

What they need are skill workers, that can't be replaced by robots. But then again, so does Germany,Britain, France, Japan, Korea, Australia, ect. The biggest problem is the shrinking number of people who are paying taxes and who don't qualify for welfare, subsidized aid, or retirement. That is the problem Japan is facing and growing problem here.

There are lot of if questions about robots and AI in the future.

If robots do replace humans in large number, then do politicians tax the robots? Who will buy the goods made by robots? If the robots replace humans, then how will people buy the goods robots make if they don't have a job? Will there be a decline in the human population due to robots replacing humans in the work force? If robots are taxed, won't this put politicians and businesses directly at odds with each other?

I found this to be hypocritical coming from the GOP. We see it here every day. Do not have babies unless you can afford them. Guess what? Many people can't afford health insurance, good schools, daycare, etc. Don't complain when you get what you ask for.
Jezebel is your reading material, and you expect us to consider your view unbiased?

How did your great grandparents and many other generations raise a houseful of kids during much more challenging times than what we face?
Just because parents want multiple fancy expensive cars, TV's, etc., etc. does not mean they cannot afford to have children.

As to the overall issue, rest assured Ryan is right, even if for the wrong reason.

Our American culture is slowly dying off from it's founding because of a lack of birthrates among white Americans who make up the majority of our citizens. If you do not understand how this is a problem, watch this video which will enlighten you;

Don't get too caught up in the Islamic aspect alone, as our American culture is being diluted in others ways as well, not just religiously.

We simply need to either kill all muslims, like we did to the native americans so they cannot be a threat.

Or we liberalize them so they come to understand religion is the root of all evil.

lf I was a conservative, I'd want a smaller workforce so that there's enough jobs for everyone without government intervention, less need for entitlements, tax increases, and minimum wage increases, and less people on welfare.

In other words, Paul Ryan is advocating that people do the opposite of what's good for his ideology.

That video has been proven false for a long time yet people still post it.

Turkey fertility rate-
2.05 births per woman

Video for Turkey fertility rate- 8.1 (Last time turkey had a rate as high as 8.1 was never, the highest it got was 6.3 in 1960)
