Sweden and Denmark are not socialist. The means of production and distribution are privately owned. They are capitalist countries with a large social safety net.
The Danish PM literally told Bernie to stop calling them socialist.

It's so embarrassing that so many Americans toss around terms like "socialism" but have no clue what it really means.
I’m a conservative. I want my local taxes to pay for schools, fire departments and police departments, among other things.
See, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
And I want my state taxes to pay for things the state should do. Roads, infrastructure, safety net, etc. I want the Feds to spend for national defense (the common defense of the states), and a few other things the states allow them to do like interstate commerce, Fed highways, etc.
