Thank you, finally someone who knows what they are talking about.

It's so embarrassing that so many Americans toss around terms like "socialism" but have no clue what it really means.

“Production and distribution of goods.”

You may want to continue using that dictionary some more.

Both sides misuse the term.

Did you know that FDR in the 1932 campaign called Herbert Hoover a socialist and pledged to cut federal spending by 25 percent?

So, you’re willing to admit your other post was a lie? Good.

And I want my state taxes to pay for things the state should do. Roads, infrastructure, safety net, etc. I want the Feds to spend for national defense (the common defense of the states), and a few other things the states allow them to do like interstate commerce, Fed highways, etc.

Some taxes are necessary. Onerous taxes are not.

Let’s get a list of names of the posters that want all taxation gone.

I bet your list won’t hit five, and I’d be surprised if you can come up with more than three.

Let’s see this list.

I think there's 3: me, T0103E, and Frank.

I'm just trying to help.

Set up a system were people who want to take part in socialism sign up for a membership card to take part in it or something like that.
That would require voluntary taxes. Ain't gunna happen!
