Meh. He's not a "Russia spy" in the literal sense. He's just a bumbling idiot who will sell out to anyone, including Russia, because he craves power and attention. The proper term for people like Trump is "useful idiot."
There are only 2 people in Trump's world - people he uses, and people who use him. It's not too hard to figure out which one Putin and cronies would be.
Also of note-this last week Russia pulled its little green men out of Ukraine. IE they removed their "advisors". The discussion about why was because Russias goals had not been achieved, they had hoped for a different outcome, and fighting has started back up without any clear ability to win.
This is Russia deciding that their rebels are unlikely to achieve victory, and so they are cutting bait.

I agree with your take on it, he's not a "Russia spy", just a useful idiot and I don't doubt that in his petty little mind, he actually believes he's mAga. But which is worst in the long run, one Russian spy, one useful idiot or millions of useful idiots??
Here we are, a full year after Trump was officially told about the Russian attempt to influence our election and he still denies it. Between the Russian attack and all the ties between Trump officials the Russians now coming to light, have you heard one peep from Trump supporters or the Republican party?
This is just another reminder that Trump is just the symptom of a much bigger problem. Many reasonable Republican politicians know that Trump is a clown, but because they live in fear of his rabid supporters, we see what we saw today. Fawning over him like NK officers fawn over Kim Jong-un, it was sickening.
Historically, between the two parties, the Republicans were the virulent anti-communists. They were the ones who felt threatened and found them under almost every rock. But over the last 8-10 years, due to the rise of conservative media, reactionary talk radio and alternate facts, the focus of their hatred has shifted. Now their big fear is what they call, the 'Deep State' or 'The Enemy Within', otherwise known as Democrats.
If the Republican party and its members can stoop so low as to support an accused pedophile, is it a surprise they would ignore the Russian attack on our last election or hope for a repeat next year?

In light of today's news broadcast where Trump did everything but unzip Putin's fly and get to work, I think your assessment is proven correct--he is too blatant in his efforts and obviousness to be a "spy" but
Trump has probably passed along important Intel info to Russians and is certainly doing all he can in many ways to forward Putin's agenda to destroy the western alliance w/Europe/NATO and to thwart any attempts to have a US centered foreign policy or economic policy
Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave...
The fact that leaders in the RNC and GOP members in Congress have not come forward to really censure Trump proves how tight the noose has been drawn around THEIR necks
Makes you wonder what the RNC had hacked--because they were--the Russians only allowed the RNC to say their were not hacked like the DNC to allow them to hide their sins that were captured by the GRU hackers
The worst of the DNC came out--and there was no Russian spy donating money to their backers like the one who donated money to the NRA (and likely others)...
So if that was the WORST the Russians could come up with to smear HRC---
You can imagine how bad the RNC stuff was--because they bargained NOT to have it exposed...
How did the RNC bargain--they would support Trump vs the US investigation of election hacking or perusing the Steele Dossier or other measures Trump wanted to take to help Russia--like bombing Syria w/o doing harm
You think what Trump agreed to today was bad--
Wait for what comes as Mueller's investigation draws more blood...
Every GOP in Congress is going to become an ostrich and live w/his or her head in the sand
They will still allow Trump's nominee for Supreme Court to be confirmed
They won't pass any measures to restrain Trump's "promises" to Putin re letting Russians investigate/interrogate US agents re the Magnitsky Act
I am hoping Trump has finally dug himself a hole he can't weasel out of but I doubt it--

I understand why there might be connections between Russians and the Trump campaign and that some of those Russians might even be working for the Russian government.
What I don't understand is why, to a man, these same Russians also have connections to our FBI, DOJ, the DNC and/or the Clinton Campaign.
