School is where I learned santa was not real, it was thru the other kids and eventually coming to the realization, but I think its OK for teachers to tell their students the truth.

Besides that, kids can go online now and learn the truth pretty quickly, its not like the old days anymore!

That this is a controversial statement is telling.

yes, I have family members like this, they are only religious because their parents raised them this way, its simply a habit and they are not intelligent enough or just lazy to ask the big questions and do their own thinking.

Or, do we not actually care about the existence of the person. What we care about are the acts attributed to that person.

It is pretty clear that I am not omniscience, you are certainly correct about that.
I also didn't say anything about 'God' being real.
I just remembered the plot to Miracle on 34th Street.

According to the U.S. government Santa Claus is real because the USPS processes letters for him.

Since government is your god that makes Santa real.

So what your public schools taught these third graders is false.

Merry Christmas!

What third graders would still believe in Santa?

However, I am betting the teacher is a radical Christian who is angry that Santa stole Christmas.

You know that Miracle on 34th Street was a fiction movie, right?
Maybe one of your teachers should have pointed that out to you

Santa Claus is a treasured myth of American childhood. Only a prick would tell a kid who believes in Santa that he isn't real.

As a parent, I chose not to lie to my children.

Yes and that there are only two genders which are determined by biology.
