And we lose another $24 billion a year in remittances that illegals send out of the country.

The sources have been cited in here before. What difference does it make anyway? They are coming here illegally and must be prevented from doing so. It's much harder and more expensive to weed them out once they get in here. The good walls do work where they have already been erected on shorter sections of our border already. I have also cited the sources on this many times.

It's not just migrants looking for work getting through our southern border but criminals and those from known terrorist countries also. What price do you want to put on our national security?

Do you still believe the fairy tale of liberals who claim that illegal immigration is no big deal? Congress already approved of the 700 mile long wall on the most porous areas of our border so it's not Trump's wall anyway. Why are you an illegal alien sympathizer?

Wait until the takings/Eminent Domain lawsuits and the tribes like Tohono Oodham Nation (which is on both sides of the border)get involved

That will be years of delay at extraordinary costs.

Fertility rate keeps dropping in Mexico, as well as all over Latin America, now at 2.2. Large families are now history! The 2-child family has swept 80% of the world, and Mexico will be facing its own growing aging population and they'll need caregivers to take care of them, so we'd be doing Mexico a huge favor by building the wall. And if we don't build it, Mexico may cough up the money to build it itself!

I believe in the fairy tale of republicans doing anything about illegals except for lip service for political gain. The Orange Skidmark just commuted the sentence of a meat packing executive who had 400 illegals working for him. The wall can't go up until he has a chance to restaff his operation.

I wonder how many work at Mar-a-Lago...?

I see, the fact that deportations are up, the Border Patrol and ICE no longer have their hands tied, raids are being conducted in businesses again, prototypes have been built for the wall, DACA was rescinded is just a fairy tale?

There is no proof that Trump "knowingly" had any illegal aliens working for him since rich business people don't hire manual laborers themselves.

How convenient for you not the mention this from the article. "In a statement, the White House said the decision, which is not a presidential pardon, had bipartisan support from leaders across the political spectrum, such as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)".

Have you even bothered to read the whole article itself and why this occurred? 30 members of congress including Democrats agreed with this decision.

Trump "knowingly" had illegals working on Trump Tower, and he "knowingly" commuted the sentence of a man who employed 400 of them. Anyone who agreed with this decision is suspect, regardless of which side of the aisle they are on.

The way to kill a snake is to cut off hte head. We have said for years that if no one employs illegals, they will self-deport. This is not likely to happen when they can be paid substanrdard wages and have no recourse if they are not paid even that, as promised. The way to resolve the problem is to jail anyone who willingly employs illegals, and make the CEOs of corporations the point men to suffer the consequences. There has been no Congressional stomach for such a move since the ones who employ the illegals are campaign donors. This wall, which will never be built, is nothing more than a distraction for America while it is being stolen blind.

Even if that were true, that's right now. Illegals flow in and out like the tide. In a few months or a few years there could be record amounts coming back over the border again. The wall is part of a long term solution.

Where did you come up with that number?
