i'm glad the guy was stopped and nobody was hurt but........ pier 39 on christmas seems like a bizarre target. it's a tourist destination with mostly chain restaurants ( hard rock, bubba gump, chart house...). i can't imagine much will be open nor would a lot of tourists be going on christmas.
