Meh....as long as people are paying their bills, etc. they are adulting enough and can have geeky pursuits. The levels of enthusiam in many sports fans could similarly be called juvenile if we are gonna go there Rather, let people enjoy whatever fandom (sports, Star Wars, etc) they like.
I think that comment applies to a whole host of social and economic issues that go way beyond 'geeky pursuits' and entertainment choices. Some group whether it be domestic or international-based is trying to weaken the United States by infantilizing our young adults.
I am more and more convinced that the "Alt-Right" is made up of about 12,000 American malcontents and 120,000 Russians sitting in data centers across Russia making up crap to make American society look bad. As if we aren't doing that already.

It took me years to finally realize that a large portion of the pot stirring garbage I used to see on forums and YouTube were posted by Russian trolls. I used to think that all the "spelling errors" and other weird mistakes I used to see in the comments was by "stupid" Americans. As it turned out, it was Russian trolls who had poor grasp of the English language or didn't know much about American culture making basic mistakes that even an eight year old wouldn't make but were posing as "real Americans."
Well I like the new Star Wars movies, but I hated the prequels except for Liam Neeson. Aside from that, who the heck takes their vision of the world/national issues from a flipping movie like Star Wars? It is a movie, meant to entertain. Stop trying to read so much into everything. Now there are some movies that should move you, Schindler's List, The Help, and many others like it. But Star Wars? Come on.

More like 120 Russian trolls and MAYBE 1200 americans, of whom are working to make the alt right look bad( and I'm not sure the alt right even exists considering who made up the term). All working under the direction of the deep state.
