LOL, that was my first thought. Of course they're going to like a president that keeps us uncompetitive, gives them money, etc like Obama did. But OP is more interested in "popularity" instead of asking why.

Could the problem be that the international community is more interested in global wellness whereas Trump seems interested only in the well being of the USA? The world will go on as a global community while the USA is selfishly focused on personal benefits, but when the USA emerges again as caring about the global community [if it ever does], I think the reputation of the country might be on somewhat shaky grounds.

The USA doesn't give Canada money, yet Canada does not seem to prefer Trump. Why is Trump so unpopular in Canada?

Why would we care who the Canadians prefer? The Canadians didn't consult with us when they elected Trudeau nor do they consult with us as to what their national priorities or policies are.

That's what this discussion is about - Russia and Isreal like Trump, the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, South Korea, Germany, and so many other countries do not.

I think I'm beginning to understand how he got elected.

We're feeding Ethiopia and Kenya again. To the tune of $458 million in FY17:

Just one example. Were either of those countries on the NYT list? Tell me again what selfish a$$holes Americans are.
