WHAT's the holdup?
Takes time to undo 8 years of Obama/Hillary/Kerry screwups & appeasement.

Recognizing Jerusalem is the capital of Israel is the first step in the peace process, recognizing the Trump train station is step 2. Their understanding of th ME is unrivaled! Kuscher deserves a nobel prize, move over Jimmy Carter.

Let's face facts. The only reason the Arab states don't attack Israel in mass again is that they got their butts kicked the last time they tried it. They know that Israel enjoys a very biased US support. They also know that Israel also has Nukes and if they were going to fall would absolutely use them.
Arab soldiers do not care about the US nor do they care about the possibility that Israel may have nuclear weapons. Arab soldiers lose their steam in war due to finding out that they will gain nothing. Once the elements of power no longer exist (money and property) they stop and either surrender or go home. Even the extremists follow this. They fight for individual power and the clan or tribe they are part of, but not the nation.

Reality check: In the Arab Muslim world, no one but Arabs can resolve it and it will never be resolved by negotiations. Israel is simply a vice to misdirect the reality of the Middle East. Until the Muslims are all Sunni or all Shia, it will never be resolved. Muslims don't negotiate with other Muslims until the other side is beaten into submission.

As to the Palestinian issue, the US can do nothing through negotiation. Take away the 'Blank Check' Billions that the PLO gets yearly from other nations to keep the issue ongoing then maybe it can come to an end. But when we have Abbas spending $13 Million to build himself a Palace, we know he does not represent nation building.

The only international policy Trump has enacted to combat radical Muslims is recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

And those actions caused Muslims to burn pictures of US presidents in the streets.
Outrage over Donald Trump's plans to move Israeli capital to Jersualem | Metro News

And Those actions have caused riots and the deaths of 12 people.

What was gained by Trumps Jerusalem move other than making Muslims hate America even more?

Quote:
Do you understand the shift that is happening?

1- Their temper tantrum didn't work. They weren't coddled - as has been the case in the recent past.
2- The adults over there are now understanding that Trump ain't playing and are falling in line.
3- The Palestinian Authority is being put in the corner, while the adults try and clean up the mess.
Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Trump recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital - CNNPolitics

And then the UN general assembly voted 128-9 in favor of a resolution condemning the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and the UN declared Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital “null and void,”
UN assembly declares Trump’s Jerusalem decision ‘null and void’ | WGN-TV
https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...e-on-jerusalem

"After the vote, (Trumps team) reminded the UN assembly that the US was “by far the single largest contributor to the UN” and would remember the vote “when we are called upon to once again make the world’s largest contribution to the United Nations." And "Before the vote Donald Trump said at a cabinet meeting: “Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot."
https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...e-on-jerusalem

Above you speak of "temper tantrums" and "adults." Do you believe its adult behavior to be a member of a democratic group of nations and then threaten to cut funding if they don't vote the way you desire?

Quote:
This is what's supposed to happen. And don't underestimate that $285M cut to the U.N. That was a signal to them as well.
"The UN is funded by its member countries and the contribution of each member country is determined based on an assessment done every three years. The assessment takes into account the GNP, per capita income & external debt of countries for fixing the quantum of contribution."

Do you think its honorable behavior to be a member of a organization and not pay your agreed to fees?

Quote:
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority has been disappointed that only several thousand Palestinians rioted in the wake of Trump's Jerusalem proclamation. Officials in Ramallah have been particularly concerned by the weekly drop in the number of Palestinians protesters in the Gaza Strip and in Judea and Samaria.

The Palestinians' doomsday warnings that the decision on Jerusalem would set the region ablaze have failed to materialize and the relative apathy on the Palestinian street has led to a mild response from the Arab world as well, particularly from the moderate Sunni states.

This is great news. Either they don't care... or the funds of the leaders are drying up and they can't pay people to fight... or they realize we are serious now. Whatever the case may be, the rank and file aren't fighting against us, and the leaders have blinked and are changing their course.

The Trump Administration is extinguishing that whole powder keg over there.
Donald Trump is causing the world to not respect America, and Trumps new America has the worlds nations voting 128-9 condemning America.

And you say "the (Muslim) rank and file aren't fighting against us, and the leaders have blinked and are changing their course." But Daoud Kuttab an award-winning Palestinian journalist says the following,

"The Trump administration has been losing its clout and its ability to really engage with the rest of the world and, as a result, they are going to find themselves much weaker in trying to gain any leverage when they really need it. (And) it's going to make America much weaker in the international arena."

"The decision could even trigger economic repercussions, Kuttab warned."

"The US is going to lose leverage, they will not be able to negotiate things that the Obama administration… and previous administrations were able to do… it's going to come back and bite them. They are not only losing political weight, [because] in the end if you lose political weight internationally, you're going to lose economic weight. Americans are in for a big surprise."
https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201...eaken-america/

Trump only recognized Jerusalem as Israels capital to rally Christian voters and rally republican voters (and its nothing but vote grabbing politics.)

And what republicans don't understand is many countries are trying to knock America out of power. Example,

The US dollar has long been the world's reserve currency (giving America extra economic power.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reserve_currency

But countries like Russia and China are trying to replace the US dollar as the worlds reserve currency, and then end the US dollar's dominance.
https://www.telesurtv.net/english/op...1107-0015.html
Russia and China discuss linking currencies to end the USD dominance - Business Insider

And Muslim countries like Iran and Syria are working with Russia to dethrone the US dollar.
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/alast...b_6245914.html

You spoke of weakness and strength. But which action has more strength?

A.) Donald Trump relocating the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and then cutting $285 million dollars in UN funding.
B.) Muslim countries working to weaken America's power in the UN and international arena, and then making deals with Russia and China to weaken the US dollar.
