People think every wight years that they will be SAVED because THEIR PARTY is in office.
Not. One. Thing. Changes.
We are still at war for a "peaceful" country. Always at war, always soldiers.
Always taxes.
Nothing gets fixed.
The morals shift slightly (LGBT, abortion) but no effective changes. People are still gay, people still get abortions.
Different parties, same policies. Last two elections a black guy, this one a white guy. Same voting population. Yet we are all NOW allegedly "racist."
What changes is the HATE HATE HATE. What changes is the absolute madness and emotional hate. That has increased significantly election over election.
Yep. Don't forget, Hillary voters were racist in 2008....we had those threads here too.
But wait, it's TRUMP that is suddenly the divisive force of race....lmfao.
Trump is a buffoon, I'd never vote for him but wow...the concept that Trump with anti-immigration stuff is suddenly the *face of racism* is a complete farce. Race and Gender have been divisive wedges worked very hard well before he even sniffed at politics.
They may just be sick of the lies and false promises that both parties have banked on for decades. I went independent for that very reason. Neither party has any credibility left as far as I am concerned. Jesus the crap the DNC pulled against Bernie Sanders speaks volumes. Neither party gives a damn about the voter, both are catering to the extremists.
I wrote in Jim Webb. Not a chance I would vote for Trump and less chance I would vote for Hillary who is every bit the liar Trump is.
Yeah, the saddest fact of the last election is that Trump just isn't PRACTICED at lying smoothly.
Because people didn't get to keep their doctors, their premiums didn't go down, there was no WMD's in Iraq, he did have relations with that woman, there were new taxes and Nixon was a crook.

Later after all the information was digested. I relied on my daily constitution so loved by the leftist. The event was over and I said goodbye to the highly educated as they swirled down the drain to pollute the rest of the world with fresh ideas.
Over all it was a good experience.
It didn't come up at Christmas, although I just spent it with my parents and no one else.
I brought it up jokingly with my parents at Thanksgiving as they lean pro-Trump and I disapprove of him, but it was mostly making fun of families having silly politics arguments. So meta.
