Maybe you misunderstand; we want to better care HERE. You know, I really try not to label conservatives as bad human beings, but you guys make it difficult.
I know most people probably won't read this as it's from the NYT; however, it's a great article comparing 11 different health care systems. It pits similar ones against each other and then lets you pick which one you think is superior. It then comes down to a final winner at the end.
The U.S. system didn't fare the worst, but I do like that this article describes the pros and cons of each one in a way that I have never seen before, as well as also discusses the cost benefit ratio to what it delivers.
The U.S. system was definitely superior to the others for innovation and outcomes of serious diseases, which most people want. However, as I said earlier, it falls short with access to care and affordability to the general population.
I can’t read their articles since they went to pay to read.
Oh, interesting. I don't subscribe to them and just found the article on a regular search. It never asked me to pay. I hate when that happens, but I can't explain it.
I'll be happy to give rides to the airports to those leaving the US to receive better care in another country.
I'd like that very much, US is a good place to live if you have a serious illness but if you get tons of colds and flus and stuff like that you're f-ed. A regular checkup costs $50 for me even with excellent insurance, can't imagine how bad it must be for someone without it
