Cuomo is just mad because his constituents lost big individual tax deductions, that's all.

Indeed. Instead of blasting the feds for taking away deductions that favored tax and spend states, Cuomo and others in his situation should start reining in spending and lowering taxes.

That, and he's positioning himself for 2020. He would love to get out of this mess in NY his father helped create.

The Trump GOP tax bill was designed to take from blue states and give to red states. Red states are more dependent on federal dollars and the GOP needed to pay off their wealthy donors with huge tax cuts. The red states are mostly broke so the Trump GOP tax bill took from blue states and colleges. That's right, they even added taxes to colleges who receive endowments for poor students. They figure not too many Trump voters are going to college so go after educated voters.

Republicans in blue states need to be thrown out in the 2018 midterm elections. It doesn't matter if they didn't vote for the Trump GOP tax bill, their very existence is what allowed Republicans to so specifically target blue states and give their money to red states and wealthy GOP donors. The only way to stop Trump and his Republican minions is to vote them out in 2018.

Maybe he's upset because it will encourage people in his state to question why their NY taxes are so high.
