The key difference - and why you see more anger here against the "Christian" ones - is twofold:

- There are A LOT more "Christian" rednecks in America than "Muslim" rednecks, hence they are far more powerful and dangerous with their desire to get their backwards agenda made into the law of the land.

- Those same "Christian" rednecks spend a lot of time spouting off about how ALL Muslims are scum and worthy of banishment - at best - or nuking. So, yes, we progressives do a have a problem with concepts that violate the 1st Amendment as well as basic human decency.

Consider the big picture before making silly, strawmen arguments about progressive.
The key difference actually is we can’t deport Christian “rednecks” but we can keep Muslim “rednecks” out.

Our policies on Muslim immigration have worked pretty well. I don’t favor increasing immigration levels or any broad additional restrictions. We can continue to allow Muslim immigration without ending up like Europe but we can’t be stupid about it.

Does anyone believe Europe is better off because of Muslim immigrants?

We *do* have a problem with sexual assault in America. It's not a white problem or a brown problem or a black problem or a Christian problem, though - it's just a big problem.

One can fully agree with that fact, and still express rightful concern over the importation of men for whom rape is a cultural and even a religious part of their lives. There have been FAR too many instances of group rape/sexual assaults committed in vast numbers by refugee men in several countries for people to so casually dismiss it, or obfuscate from the issue with the tired old "but ... but American men rape, too". Yes, sometimes they do, unfortunately ... so why in the f*ck should we exascerbate an existing problem by importing men who specialize in treating women so horribly?

This isn't rocket science, people.

Yeah, the minority. People either condemn Muslims everywhere, including Americans, or they ignore the facts about what has been happening in Europe as though nothing has been going on.

I seriously wonder what is wrong with people that they cannot budge from their extreme viewpoints.

There is a story today in the German publication Die Welt, its in German but google translate can turn it into English. Anyways it highlights the rise in crime against Jews in Germany by Muslims. Its to the point were a public Menorah lighting had to be cancelled due to safety concerns.

https://www.welt.de/politik/deutschl...esordnung.html

One particular comment caught my eye:

Many have blamed the influx of Muslim migrants under Chancellor Angela Merkel for the growth in anti-Semitic incidents. Fashion mogul Karl Lagerfeld blamed Ms Merkel directly earlier this year, saying: “One cannot – even if there are decades between them – kill millions of Jews and then bring millions of their worst enemies in their place.”

I reject the flawed premise that we can't worry about gangs of refugees terrorizing women en masse because we already have a problem with sexual assault here in America. That's about as deep and thoughtful as us giving up on bettering the nutritional values of American food because we're already fat.
