Americans have very little moral leg to stand on lecturing Germany about immigration. Americans watched as a school of 8-9 year olds was shot up and did nothing about it but suggest that if we armed teachers it would have prevented such tragedies. After that we watched a guy slaughter dozens and injured hundreds after mowing people down from a hotel room, and here we are today and still haven't done anything about it.

What do they say about those in glasshouses?

Houston which is about 2/3 the size of Berlin averages over 3.3 rape cases a day last year and had over 34 assaults a day last year. Iím sure some of those were sexual in nature. This is also higher during the holiday time, so my question is 13 sexual assault cases unusual for Berlin or is this media hype?

Iím not arguing that a group that is predominantly males in their twenties donít commit more crime than the main populace, that is a guaranteed as the sun rising up everyday. I just want to see what percent is media hype around a normal crime trend. New Years and sexual assault goes hand in hand worldwide, Lots of drunk men roaming the street and loud fireworks, will mean a spike in certain types of crime. Is 13 sexual assault expected for New Yearís Day or less?
It doesn't matter. What matters is that hundreds of Muslim men sexually assaulted thousands of women last New Year's Eve, and this year the women were limited in where they could go because the government recognizes they wouldn't be safe. The government recognizes it cannot control Muslim men, so instead, they've decided to control their women.

No woman should have to feel unsafe. No gay person should have to feel unsafe. No government should have to set up safe zones because men of a different culture don't have control over themselves. That's insane.

Crazy people use cars, vans, rental trucks, bombs you name it to kill people. Mexico has some of the toughest gun laws and has more gun violence than almost any other country. Much more than we do. Plus if we ban guns that will be one more product the cartels can sell us. They have no problem getting meth and heroine over the border along with people.

I am sure the cartels are in agreement with people like you on gun control. And also illegal immigration. A wall would seriously impact the cartels bottom line.

New Year's Eve party in Berlin to have 'safe zone' for women - BBC News

The new security measures planned for the Brandenburg Gate party come amid concerns about sexual assaults.

A large number of assaults and robberies targeting women at Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations two years ago horrified Germany.

Hundreds of women reported being attacked by gangs of men with migrant backgrounds.

So, this isn't our problem. If Germany wants to create safe places for women, have at it. It's their country..

Wrong.

If for example one person running to replace Merkel had the policy position of changing their constitution and allowing guns into Germany exactly they way we do it here an argument against it would be mass shootings and other gun violence that occurs here.

Since both Clinton and Sanders were pushing for increased immigration like what has happened in Europe, Americans have the obligation to view and comment on what is happening there and decide if they want the same mess. You know the next democrat candidate in 2020 will be pushing for mass immigration like Clinton and Sanders wanted.

We have Time Square new years eve. Much more people then what Germany deals with and yet we can protect people attending it without having safe spaces just for women. Do we need to create a situation where no public place is safe for women? I think most Americans would say no.
