Is there a problem with devout Catholic Liberals? Or are the exempt from trash talking.

I've heard a number of 'Christians' say Catholics aren't.

Yet it's NOT Liberals attempting to DICTATE what a woman may choose to do with her body, who can sleep with whom, who can marry whom, et al.

Never heard anyone say that. Catholics are in many cases very Liberal and very Christian.

It's like saying Liberals can't be gun owners. Many do.

This is a silly thread attacking Christians when many Liberals are very strong Christian. Are Liberal Christians sex perverts also?

I give you kudos for continuing to assert that there are many strong Christians who are liberals. I agree that there are. I know quite a few.

But you are wrong when you dispute that many fundamentalists don't consider Catholics to be real Christians. I was raised Catholic and heard this claim often.

This, in a nutshell. Keep your religious dogma out of our laws and I won't care what you believe in.

Well, I've heard self-professed 'Christians' say "Catholics are not true Christians". Of course I was also raised Catholic and heard from them that Catholicism was the only true religion and was threatened with eternal damnation by a Sunday School teaching nun who said we'd go to hell if we even stepped foot in another church. Nothing else could have been more effective in driving me from organized religion.

Not horrible as long as they keep it in church and out of government. Why is that so difficult to comprehend?

When they seek to 'share' by legislation it is indeed horrible!

And we see evidence of it here every day on CD.

I have heard that too, but can't say I understand why. They believe in Christ, the Bible, etc.
