should gun control laws be stricter to reduce these incidents?

What???????????????????????

question defies a logical answer.

stricter how?

doesn't matter what law or regulation just more??????????

Bumper sticker question right out of, know nothing about guns, anti gun activist legislator from Colorado, Diane DeGette's playbook.

I know, ban guns, search every house and garage, dig up backyards for buried guns and of course demand a tax on ammunition and of course, most importantly, make bayonet lugs on the barrel illegal, OOOPSS! that has been covered.

troubled kid, gun not locked up.... so what gun laws should be tightened? what would have prevented that? Maybe fingerprinting, releasing the medical records and running the finger prints of the gun purchaser thru the FBI and a NICS check tossed in on top of a questionnaire and three references the cops check?

With a semi auto, after the first lethal bullet, subsequent shots are irrelevant to prosecution, except in crimes of passion. So a single shot weapon would be a good substitute though would not have prevented this horrible murder.

vote for the most irrelevant, senseless poll so far this year.

runner up poll....
if this poll was taken two months ago would the results have prevented the kid from killing his family

This man murdered his mother in the Bronx, which has very strict gun control laws. He stabbed his mother multiple times, then dismembered her body and took a selfie photo with her head. No amount of gun control would have stopped him.

While a gun was used in that crime, I can find plenty of family-related murders where no gun was used.

When someone gets killed by a drunk driver, do we blame it on the manufacturer, on the alcohol, or the vehicle? No, we blame it on the drunk driver. It seems nonsensical to blame someone's death on the gun.
