The American right wing media calls much of Europe Socialist. They are parliamentary democracies. The dominant political parties are the Christian Democrats and the Social Democrats.

Here is why the American right wing media vilifies European politics: https://www.fastcompany.com/3056830/...pare-to-europe

The US could have those benefits, too, if Americans would agree to switch our tax system to a regressive one like European countries have. More info (be sure to read the chart):

Euros also have steeply progressive income taxes.

Those benefits are nice but too expensive even though I would benefit from some of them. I'd settle for universal health insurance with copays and deductibles paid for with a payroll tax.

Many US companies give 2, 3, and 4 weeks paid vacation days as they rack up years of time in .

No, they don't. Does this look "steeply progressive" to you?

Comparison: Income levels at which top income tax rate applies

The middle class is in the top income tax rate bracket right along with the top 1%. Perhaps we should put a US middle class income in the top tax rate bracket, too.

Additionally they have a 20% to 25% VAT tax that everyone pays, rich and poor alike.

Look...

For the terminally clueless, GOP blabber about "socialism!" triggers their deepest fears, so the right wing media harps on it endlessly.

The reality is that the USA has socialism for the wealthy and capitalism for the rest of us.

I report. You decide.

Time for CEOs, hedge fund managers and board members to compete with counterparts from India, Mexico, China, etc for their fatcat positions.

Do we need to be the world's cop?
We spend over 600 billion on defense. That is a higher percentage of GDP over our European allies.
We just gave the top of the upper class a permanent tax break. How about the rest of us.

Are we too stupid to see that the upper class uses the corporate media to keep us divided?

https://www.statista.com/statistics/...-eu-countries/

unemployment rate for workers under 25 years old in eu:

Greece-43%
spain-39%
Italy-35%
france-23%
avg for all eu-19%

the usa unemployment rate is currently 4.1%
