Do you folks think the pressure from the book is bringing out the worst of the POTUS. Todays remarks are an example of someone under great stress.

Hard to say if it's the book or his attorneys talking with Mueller about his upcoming testimony.

Think they will have a copy of the book on the table in front of him. That would unnerve him.

Would it surprise anyone if they did? Seems like they prefer unverified sources, which people involved had debunked.

He transposed numbers, big deal. Since you've obviously never transposed numbers, maybe you should contact Guinness World Records .. or, Ripley's, and let them give you awards.
I didn't want to start a new thread on this story so I placed it here. Sure it may be as simply as getting the numbers wrong but stuff like that can't happen from the most powerful man in the world. It simply does not happen with other leaders, that should be concerning to you.

I watched the video clip. He wasn't winging it. He was reading from a piece of paper.

How do you get numbers wrong when you are reading them?

You do realize he doesn't write those papers? Secondly, I've seen lots of people transpose numbers, mess up names of people and places when reading out loud from books/papers. How about all those "professional" news readers who screw up reading from a teleprompter for a living day in and day out? Do you hold THEM to the same standards?

It happens to people from all walks of life. Part of being human.

It is sad how the bar for acceptable behavior for the President of the United States has dropped so low. Regardless of how it happened the point is it did happen. And things like this are happening to this guy far more often than the do with a TV reporter, it's very rare for a reporter to make this many screw ups.

And, this just in, Trump's got the most important job on Earth yet screw ups are the norm. A day after I brought this up he's said yet another stupid thing.
