Well, so much for Manfort's absurd lawsuit against the DoJ. That nonsense was dismissed today.

Props to McGowdog for predicting that Manafort's lawsuit "is going to kick Mueller's ass"

This was not a surprise. civil suits are not the venue to resolve criminal issues, and the judge smacked this down as expected. Manafort is in deep trouble and he knows it. I think right now he just wants to run the legal clock as long as he can.

All of them.

This is what you can do when you have wealth, you can literally try all of them. And you only have to get lucky once. Its why prosecutors often don't charge wealthy people. Do you go after 12 people who will plead out, and you spent maybe 100 hrs of time on total, or 1 guy who will fight and force you to spend 5,000 hours on? And then settle for something less because otherwise you spend another 5,000 hours convicting.

Many people will get broke over lawyers fees and lawyers will be rich!

But in the end there will be justice and we are witnessing History!

Unless you happen to be Michael Avenatti
Who has a nice civil suit that has likely given Mueller/SDNY some insight on Trump's criminal affairs in affairs not Russian related....since Stormy Daniels isn't Russian...

How deep are Manafort's pockets?
He was in deep hock to Derapaska and didn't have the ready cash to pay that 15 or so million off...
How is he managing to pay what much be huge legal bills???
Because if he is convicted, his penalties and fines for income tax crimes will take all of his asserts that he has clear title to---they were bought with illegal money anyway
The government can even go after assets in his wife's name because of the communal nature
