so...... he's now asking to destroy the "substantial evidence of voter"?

If substantial evidence of voter fraud is being destroyed, one can assume it was evidence of Republican voter fraud.

Surely, this administration wouldn't destroy evidence of Democratic voter fraud. Good Lord, they've been searching everywhere for it. Why would they destroy it now?

That in itself could be criminal.

Sure looks suspicious.

^^^ THIS ^^^

I agree. One would think that the administration would be a bit more savvy about appearances, but THIS administration has thrown all that out the window ages ago.

I wonder how Rush will spin this.

Indeed. Trump may have hit a "point of no return" on this. Even if, instead of destroying the data, they could somehow swap it for something that makes Democrats look bad, there would still be the lingering suspicion of a cover-up for one simple reason: IF there was, indeed, evidence of fraud that even ever-so-slightly favored Republicans, why wouldn't they have already shared it with the Democrats? Why would they even consider destroying the evidence? There mere suggestion of doing so had done irrevocable damage and will fuel conspiracy theories, only in this case, the plausibility of actual conspiracy would be extremely high, given the problems that the last 2 pages of posts have been discussing.

I can pretty much promise that Trump will do everything in his power to spin this against the Democrats, and I have no doubt that, in the minds of many Trump supporters, this spin will work. They will find some way to believe that Trump innocently changed his mind and just wanted to "move on" and begin a national healing process by putting this fiasco behind us, etc. But the stains will remain obvious to anyone who looks at the situation with even the slightest-bit of objectivity.
