Presumably because the western countries are more educated, wealthier, more productive, and enjoy a higher standard of living.
Perhaps the western countries have attracted all of the higher-educated eastern Europeans, leaving behind all the least-educated, who are xenophobic right-wingers.
I agree with this, the softness and material prosperity of post ww2 life in the west has had alot of effect. The baby boomer and the 60s (flower power, anti war movement) was the real beginning of the rise of the "soft male"

It is erroneous to say either fight a war and be manly, or dont't and lose your masculinity. This type of either/or logic is deeply flawed.
Any man, and woman, can be full of courage and power without over-powering others by force. This is what is lacking in this country, not more violence.
These countries have things like universal healthcare, more affordable university, and paid maternity leave laws. You really call that right wing?

Yes. Many right wing state are very nationalistic but very progressive socially, they always have been to win the people to their side
I believe America would be alot alot more progressive if it were less "multicultural' I have no problem with affordable health care, decent wages and rights for working people ,affordable housing and university, and many progressive ideas
In many cases it just as much republican globalist and big money that wants illegal immigration for cheap labor as much as leftists in the Democrat party need the votes
Just dont ask me to pay an astronomical rate for heath care so 40% of LA can sit around on medicaid or I can pay for the health care of illegals breaking the law and miscreants and ask working people wages to suffer so people can have cheap labor or dems can get votes. There is nothing progressive " about immigration, its why former generations of leftist used to hate it and speak against immigration
