Does talking to yourself really work ?

It was common knowledge and much discussed.
If someone didn't know it they likely wouldn't be posting here.

I'll continue to look pretty regardless.
Ridiculous is drawing conclusions with a lot of time on the clock.
Your predictions haven't come true. As you said its just started, IYO.
If anything we would both be ridiculous having done the same.
Looks like this is a thread for the ridiculous. No wonder it gets so much traffic.

so believe what you want...but the fact is, it is and has been doing much better.

Much of that increase, however, was fueled by gains in the stock market. Americans saw the value of their equity holdings which includes investments in stocks, mutual funds and retirement accounts -- soar to $29.4 trillion in the first quarter of this year. That's up 8.1% from the same period in 2017.

wait till you get to the end of the story...it's gonna change a bit by Q4.....

Obviously it was not common knowledge to you, because if it was, you would't have started this thread.

Does this sound like someone who was aware that a new recession was just around the corner? No.

How can you say that when we are in December, and the market is below January numbers?

Had you been familiar with the thread you would know I got out last spring.

I put a toe in the water about two weeks ago at 24,480 and will again at 24,000/minus.

Remember when GW said the economy was fine? That was funny. Until it wasn't.

One things Republicans have been consistent on is wrecking the economy. The Great Depression, the S&L Crisis, the Great Recession and more. Coincidence, I'm sure....

That's the problem with unbridled selfishness. It makes sane people insane. They truly think allowing the "experts" on Wall Street or in the WH to run wild will be good policy.

I heard a short clip yesterday with Micheal Douglas (actor)...they asked him his most popular Movie role. He said that drunk wall streeters are always walking up to him and slapping his back about being Gordon Gecko. He is fascinated and tries to tell them "But I was the BAD GUY". They don't listen.

I was thinking today (before the market tanked) that the GWB downturned happened at this time of year also. These are partially crisis of "faith" or lack of it.

It's truly amazing that Trump fans will celebrate a couple 100 up, but not understand an entire year written off and a crisis of confidence. Obviously "Mr. Market" doesn't like DJT.
