Clearly this hurt the DOW pretty bad today, and with all the algorithms out there especially on the indexes a decline in one will create automated selling and declines elsewhere.
So one company and story made the DOW lose 3000 plus in potential returns in the last year? That doesn't make any sense.

The market interprets things based on the Macro. The Macro is Trump screwing up the world and country. As I mentioned before, I'm not buying a new iphone although I can. I usually would (3+ years in). But millions are like me and then Apple doesn't sell as much stuff.

It works at the Micro and Macro. Companies have no idea how to move forward.

Futures drop about 1 percent on global growth risks

The very basics (10-12% growth as was the case for the last few years) would put the DOW above 28K by now. Therefore the DOW has been going down..in relation to "normal", inflation or any other measure you want to put to it - in 2018.

It doesn't make sense to you because you are reacting to something I didn't say because you are hung up on proving a point.

My comment about JNJ was directly in relation to someone screaming the DOW was down ~300 points TODAY.

People on this board see the DOW in negative territory for the day and they run here to scream about Trump, regardless of the real reason for that day.

We are headed for an early recession and a big drop in all investment classes due to time and tariffs. It is a fool's errand to defend the fool who is at least partly to blame for this.

I'm not defending anyone. I'm simply pointing out facts, you are interpreting that as what you want to see it as.
