There were no such prediction, because Trump did not make the threat until yesterday.

The predictions had nothing to do with China. If you couldn't see them, it doesn't mean they don't exist.

I hope you people are not trying to invest on headlines. All that does it create knee-jerk reactions. Not a good way to invest.

So the goal was to raise funds for the federal govt. by collecting tariffs.

Then why lie and say it is for curbing the deficit.

Makes him look like he's not getting his goal by increasing deficit in spite of tariffs.

You would think he would want to look successful.

Very odd.

Actually for most it is best just to invest in index funds. Stop trying to excuse Trump killing the bull market with his tariffs.

I remember when conservatives favored the free market.

Given the tax cuts last year should have been a great year for the markets. Here we are at the same point we were over a year ago.

Still no links to those predictions?

That's interesting -- I've tried a number of google searches.

I would just like to read the articles.

You seem defensive about supporting a statement you made.

Just give the links instead of being snarky.

The market is due for a mild correction. But the losses on opening this morning are already closing. Long term the market will continue to melt up under Trump.

It melted up more consistently under Obama.

This thread was started on January 4, 2018

Why are we due for a mild correction from a 4% gain in the last 16 months?

Why do you feel it is due for another correction? We have not even recovered from the previous one yet. The market peaked 16 months ago.

Long term the market will continue to rise long after Trump has been consigned to the dust bin of history.
