Oh well. It was headed in that direction but a last-minute bout of buying foiled my prediction.

It's not the "2 percent" that's the story. It's the fact that Trump gave the market ONE good year and after that, the market has been pretty much FLAT, meaning overall his stock market performance is pretty lame since he took office. At this point in Obama's 1st term, he'd blown the doors off Trump's market success.

This is why its dumb to assign ownership of the market performance to any POTUS.

Even if one misguidedly believes that the POTUS controls the market, do you really think its reasonable to compare data points when one POTUS took office at a point where the markets were literally in crisis mode vs another POTUS when markets were humming along mostly smoothly?

Its a pretty ridiculous position to try and justify.

And Trump does this every day. He crows about the "economic miracle" and soaring stock market his policies have produced. And then when the markets hit a rough patch he blames it on the Fed or the Dems. But Trump continually shows himself to be an idiot even without mentioning the stock market.

Yeah we are only down about 2 and half per cent for the whole week.

Yup keeping it in perspective.

And we are about the same as where we were back in January 12, 2018.

So yeah -- we are holding.

The 666 reference is Biblical. The mark of the beast. That's why I always wondered why the religious Kushners would buy a building with number.

Washington would be rolling in his bed. Republicans have turned into pharisees and money changers. True conservatives are forced to sell their soul for this new party.

No problem - you see, Trump always plays all sides of every issue...that's why he always "wins". He loves a free market...but not. He wants to give everyone better health care...but not. He wants to balance the budget, but not.......

You can't lose if you cheat by selecting all three answers in every multiple choice test and then never doing ANY of them. But, if you jump up and down and beat your chest you will at least entertain some.....(speaking of the Reality TV star in this case).
