Punishing American consumers is not a "constructive" solution.

Sure it is. Our whole economy (outside of fast food, retail, and healthcare) is based on “finance” and asset speculation.

It’s been that way since the early 2000s, when we gave away the last remains of our productive sector to the Chinese.

Our chief export is US dollars, and the Federal Reserve has a legal monopoly on its production.

What are you talking about?

Are you suggesting that we give away our technological secrets to the Chinese just so that you can save five bucks on a toaster at Wal-Mart?

The market is afraid that American business will greatly suffer under Trump's trade war - and it will. Prices will spike in this country and trade with other countries will be restricted, creating a downward spiral. Trump can only see things in the simplest of terms (between his Twitter tantrums) and he's in way over his head on this one.

It gets buried fairly deep into the past threads its a pain to find. Fortunately when the market is going south a bear will bring it to the surface again. Sometimes a bull will and sometimes I do.

30,000 by the end of the year. No fear here.
