I really liked the idea of some extra "infrastructure" gas taxes that were tied to the pricing - that is, if the pricing was low, the taxes would be higher and when gas went over $4 or so, they would be lowered.

But we don't do common sense things these days. All plans are for like...a week in advance.

Some Americans get it. Dollars to donuts the rav4 hybrid becomes one of the best selling vehicles in 2019 (40 MPG, which is amazing for a vehicle shaped like that and almost 2 tons).
Correct.. I Couldn't rep you more than once

My issue is we will have Americans buy all these gas guzzlers again and then in 3-4 years when gas is up to 3-5 bucks a gallon be freaking out how they can't afford them again..

But, if the markets were soaring, he wouldn't be giving the blue wave any credit for that. That's why his argument have no credibility, and just straight party talking point as well as childish.

Good lord. We are headed for the worst week for markets in 10 years! That was during the great crash in the Great Recession.

Wow, I didn't realize it was this late in the day. The markets will be closing in a few minutes, assuring us of another bad day on the Dow.

Talking heads are saying this latest big dip this afternoon is because presidential adviser said the China talks are going badly over intellectual property. Self-inflicted damage. The way to deal with China was TPP not tariffs and confrontation.

I do not rejoice in the market's fall. However, the stock market likes stability. Mr. Trump is not providing stability. He says one thing, then tweets something opposite. He indicates that he would sign the CR passed by the Senate, then watches Fox and Friends and decides to hunker down on his wall money.

The economy itself is sound. As noted in other places, the stock market is not a true reflection of the state of the economy, although some argue (with some reason) that it is an indicator of future economic strength.
