Well, what I know is that in the west, we have developed the most free, and most safe societies on earth by eschewing religion AND working hard to keep dangerous secular ideologies at bay.

The west importing Islam is like smoking cigarettes. All the evidence is there that it will give you cancer and subject you to a slow, agonizing death. Islam is the same. It invades and kills its hosts and renders them theocracies. And yet, the Europeans and Canadians are like, "meh, it's not going to kill me NOW, so.....pass me another smoke."

Have you ever been to a Muslim majority country? I have been to several and they live in harmony with Christians. In fact, the Christian communities of the Middle East are the oldest in the world.

What scares me are the evangelical zealots who want to enact Christian sharia law in America.

I agree completely, even though I would be considered “liberal.”

I don’t understand why so many liberals are unable to see Islam for what it is. Liberals rightly criticize the Christian Right in this country, but the Christian Right is nowhere near as dangerous as Islam. Yes, there may be liberal/tolerant Muslims, but Islam as practiced in most Islamic countries is totally anathema to liberal values.

Maybe it’s because so many liberals confuse concern about a dangerous ideology with hate and xenophobia?

Run back to Christianity? (which will look a whole lot more tolerant compared to Islam)
Run back? Most liberals are already Christians or identify with it despite of Christian views of sexual immorality. Just because they support the 1st amendment does not mean they need to run someplace.

Here's an even funnier thing. The republicans got the Christian base all worried about the Mexicans, when in reality, it's Canada we should be worried about. I've met more followers of the true Christian bible from South of the border than the north.

Yep, well put. As we have a record # of Islamic attacks in this country, many on the Left try to down play and underscore the attacks on us. Barrack Obama's categorizing Nidal Hassan's Terrorist attack as "Work place" Violence is a perfect example. Hasan Admitted it was a Terrorist attack, was screaming Allah Akbar as he was killing Americans, and Obama calls it anything but a Terrorist attack. Yeah, work place violence

Nice try but that's not an either/or type of situation.

You mean like they have already under Trump? Religious freedom cuts both ways. Christians aren't the only people who deserve religious freedom.

Well, then I guess all the conservatives with good "family values," and especially those who complain about immigration, should be having more kids, then. Get cracking! This "liberal" "feminist" has already done her part.

Now you're just full of crap. The Christian population in Arabia has been falling consistently. Persecution of Christians in the Muslim world is endemic.

Same thing with Jewish populations in the Middle East. And in Europe, a rise in anti-semitism is tied DIRECTLY to newcomers from the Middle East and Africa.

But go on. Tell us about how "Christian Sharia" is a real thing.
