This has been covered over and over. When you register you get a voter identification card. You can be required to present that or another form of acceptable I.D. to prove you are the person on the voters roll now.

This could have just as well be labeled. People are too stupid to understand that they are demanding that people be forced to do what they already have to do.

I knew England had voter id--and I don't know why the US doesn't require it. Also, I'm a Democrat.

Black women voters accounted for the win in Alabama. I don't see how illegals can vote anyway.

So why would anyone be opposed to voter id? I think most Democrats would be all for it.

Voter ID (like everything else we do ) a good way to prevent fraud. In particular non citizens voting in US elections.

It's been a long time ago for me but we most certainly did when I took my sons to register.

When I go to the bank and say I am Oprah Winfrey and want to withdraw all of my money, they demand ID. I think they are racists just because I am white.

You already have to prove who you are. Why is this so hard to comprehend for some?

I reside in Maryland and they NEVER ask for any I.D. I sign my name, nothing more.

I used to vote in Washington, DC, a majority African-American city. I and everyone always had to present I.D.

I honestly do not recall anyone thinking it was a problem.
