Only a government paid scientist can save us, right?

What putzes you guys are! I suppose the past Chief Scientist recommended that we join the Paris Accord.

Here's some more red meat for the NeverTrumpers:
It's all about how Trump threw a fit until they hooked up the Gorilla Channel for him.....

There are many more scientific fields than climate science. And it's fairly important to have people close to the President and the President's team who are familiar with science/technology.

Rick Perry heads up the department that he thought involved being an ambassador for the oil industry, as if the oil industry needed an ambassador.

Imagine his surprise at finding out he is now in charge of our nuclear arsenal and all the nation's nuclear research.

Imagine our surprise.

But do you and those on the left really believe that everything has stopped in this area?

WOW, folks you cannot make this stuff up......
Presidents should be informed how their decisions will impact the environment or if they are technologically feasible. For example, Trump's obsession with reinvigorating the coal industry is not good for the environment and isn't at all feasible anymore, since coal is a relatively obsolete and expensive resource. If he had someone to explain this to him, illustrating why coal is such a terrible pollutant and how other energy resources are more sensible, he would probably shut up about coal.

There is no interim tech adviser? Nobody to tell him, the position is just gone?

Again, you cannot make this stuff up folks....since the HMIF in charge, is not there, nobody has taken his spot...

He's an idiot.

Honestly, were he not in such a position to do grave harm to this nation, I'd pity him more than I'd despise him. Think about it and you'll see what I mean. We're talking about a clown who was basically born rich, and who managed to squander it all, repeatedly. A man who basically has no friends - just people he uses and people who use him - and who has the emotional range of a spoiled child. There's no evidence he can feel true happiness, joy, wonder, curiosity, or much of anything other than rage, pettiness, and arrogance. He could travel the world and see nothing; he could have tremendous wealth and own nothing of worth. He's a man who would cross the earth just to eat a Big Mac with cheap fries. It amazes me that somebody with so much can be so small, petty, and pathetic.

Unfortunately, he's in a position to really screw up this nation, so pity for him will have to wait until he's no longer a menace to everything America represents.

So, there is nobody in charge that can inform YOUR president? The entire office is not functioning, it just stopped because there is not a single person in charge?
