OP being dishonest again...real shocker there. You want to see failing healthcare, go look at rural America.

Maternal Healthcare Disappearing from Rural America

Why are there so few doctors in rural America?

This poster has an obsession with CA and is incapable of honesty.

Strangely enough, there's another thread about how dreadful the UK's NHS system is because they've canceled 50,000 elective surgeries in the wake of the flu vaccine.

I pointed out that San Diego hospitals are setting up tents and the response was all about how they weren't canceling boob surgeries were they. So there.

Rural hospitals have been closing down all over the country.

Many in rural areas do not have insurance. Few rural businesses offer health insurance and the cost of marketplace insurance is unaffordable for most rural residents.

NC, which does not participate in ACA, has lost a number of hospitals and has several more on life support. Another one just closed its maternity unit which is generally a sign of things to come.

Medical practices generally close when the hospitals do.

In many communities, the pharmacist is often the only one around with any amount of medical training.

Looks like the World's 5th largest economy has a failed, weak medical infrastructure. Rather than spending 20 billion or more on illegal aliens it needs to update it's medical infrastructure.

Part of the issue is that California liberals refuse to find Medicaid like other states. California liberals choose to only reimburse primary care at 52 percent of Medicare rates. Compared to 126% in Alaska and 98% in North Dakota and Wyoming.

California has also 12 million people out of 39 million which means very low reimbursement rates and there is also the fact many nurses there make six-figures because of the strong unions.

I wonder how many illegal aliens are overwhelming the medical infrastructure in California and making it difficult for America born senior-citizens and those with weakened immune systems and health-conditions to get immediate care.

It is no co-incidence that the reason so much of California in bed with the flu is because of the third-world living conditions that the Democrat state offers it's residents.

When the lower ends of the California caste system are living in cramped little apartments, the overcrowded classrooms have some of the largest class sizes in America.

There's not much can be done in relation to flu, it was one of the biggest killers of the 20th century.

The Spanish Flu of 1918 lowered the life expectancy in the US by a staggering 12 years and over 50 million people around the world died.

No system private or state run can deal with such mass outbreaks.

nurses in CA have a maximum patients to handle. ICU nurses can have a max of 2 patients while step down units have to handle max of 4 patients.

would you rather be confined in a hospital in Arizona or Texas or New York where nurses have to handle as much as they can handle like 12 patients or more?

pay is a matter of supply and demand. nurses pay grew very high because of unmet demand. they have to offer high wages to attract nurses and import foreign nurses too.

that's why in the Central Valley in CA, they have to pay nurses just like those in SF or LA to attract them. otherwise, no one would be going there to work if they only offer $50k a year

If it is worse in California it is not because of "cramped little apartments" but because of the anti-vaccination movement, which is concentrated in the upper classes in California, not its lower classes.
Conservatives like the OP that have an agenda to push hardly ever read past the sensational headline. When someone calls them out on it like you just did they mysteriously vanish from the thread.
