I don't know, but I've seen it among conservatives for years. I don't know of liberals who watch Fox News when Republicans lose an election, but I've known many conservatives who get great joy out of watching MSNBC when liberals or Democrats lose. I try to stay away from people like that.

That said, I know a legal immigrant who has many unkind things to say about other immigrants (legal or otherwise). In other words, now that she is here she wants to slam the door shut behind her...too many damn immigrants impairing the American way of life. I am not kidding.

A casual look around this forum and throughout the internet will reveal this illness among the far-right. Many of them voted for Trump to "make liberals cry." It's right-wing maturity at its finest.
I'm not sure which is more pathetic - their assumption that they've "won" by spite-voting an idiot into office, or their demented belief that their bad decisions will somehow only affect the "liberals" they don't like.
