NAFTA led to a several-fold increase in beef and cattle exports to Mexico and Canada.

They don't need us any more. This is often forgotten in the discussion. Maybe Trump will make some stupid moves and the world will move to the Chinese standard (of money)....

This is all the stuff he said he was gonna do on day one. Did we get the better and cheaper health care for all? The debt paid down? Much higher wages for the forgotten man? New Infrastructure?

Did we get ANYTHING? I say no...except that we are now definitely a 2nd world country with his amazing new non-health plan.
And bringing back coal jobs. MAGA. Those coal miners got taken by Con Man Trump!

If you want a recent example look at the solar industry. This is an industry liberals love, Yes? US manufacturers have been crushed by Chinese manufactures because of unfair trade practices.

every nation claims that trade agreements are unfair. The US has done extremely well out of the partnerships and agreement we have made over the last 75 years.

some have not been greit, but others have been excellent. sadly at times those agreements hurt millions while making a handful of americans even richer.

I am all for fair and balance trade. Trump killing TPP and getting zero in return from china was a disaster.

China looks to be spending one Trillion dollars on their OBOR project...

Article published today in The Guardian:

Brussels prepared for trade war with US if it restricts EU imports

Quote:
The US president, Donald Trump, claimed in an interview with ITV broadcast on Sunday that the EU had been “very unfair” on American exporters, and that it would “morph into something very big” that would “turn out to be very much to [the EU’s] detriment”.
Response by the European commission:
Quote:
For us trade policy is not a zero sum game. It is not about winners and losers. We here in the European Union believe that trade can and should be win-win.

We also believe that while trade has to be open and fair it also has to be rules-based. The European Union stands ready to react swiftly and appropriately in case our exports are affected by any restrictive trade measures by the United States.

how is it when a felon is deported to mexico they somehow return to the US. It sure seems mexico is sending rapists and killers to the US. Trump did not condemn all Mexicans, that is pure hate and fear mongering by the democrats and their media trumpet.

why is mexico not embarrassed that millions of its people flee that country?
why does the media or UN not care to examine that issue?

if people fled the US by the millions because of trump, it would sure make news around the world, yet the Mexican government , if there is one, gets a free pass. Too bad the news can't cross the border as easily as the drug trade does.

Trump does nothing to harm the US economy and will make a deal that is beneficial and fair. There is no evidence trump has ever done anything to harm the economy.

Trump does bluff and the democrats take the bait every time. What idiot would show his hand prior to negotiations? The dems expect trump to lay out his strategy so his opponents have an advantage????

The guy goes in putting everything on the table to shake up his opponent, the dems unwittingly are doing their best to promote trump's bluff. they are now almost indispensable to trumps success. The outcry by the dems convinces nato or trade partners that trump is indeed capable of anything even the worst case scenario. It is the outrage based on theoretical predictive scenarios of 'what trump might be thinking' and running with the least probable outcome which they treat as reality.

Thank you dems for enhancing Trump's bluffs, making them even more effective.
Law enforcement all over the US depends on the drug war though, its their bread and butter today. In order to have a drug war...there needs to be a consistent supply of drugs coming in.
