Hmm. No wonder some Republicans were against the release of these documents, detailing how the FBI had someone inside the Trump organization providing information. Whom could it have been? Mr. Trump will make some angry tweets, I imagine.

Here is where it gets interesting.
Rosenstien knew the entire witch hunt was based upon a lie, to gather all of Trumps campaign communications. And still appointed Mueller, his buddy.
Rosenstien is not clean.
Among the things that Rosenstein "knew" was that the DOJ Inspector General was doing an investigation into the FBI for leaks and other problems. Nobody knew about the Dirty Dossier and it's beginnings, shopping to the media, who bankrolled it and when, and the fact that Bruce Ohr, Deputy Director at the DOJ and his wife were both involved with Christopher Steel and GPS Fusion. What Rosenstein did "know" was that somebody (more than a few somebodies) were leaking classified information, which is a crime. Rosenstein also knew that FBI James Comey stepped WAY outside of his lane and made a decision not to bring charges or prosecute Hillary Clinton or anyone who worked with her at the State Department ...... THAT is not the job of the FBI Director, that function belongs to the US Department of Justice.
The IG Report revealed some of that information as they were doing their investigation .... which is now almost complete.
We don't know who is "clean" or "dirty" at this point -- but we will and probably sooner, rather than later with all these releases of Bank Records, emails, texts, FISA court documents and the IG Report that is coming soon.
Someone from INSIDE Trump's team went to the FBI about the exact information that's in the Dossier, prior to September 2016 possibly before July 2016, I am unsure of exact dates that the Trump insider went to FBI.
It appears that the Trump INSIDER went to the FBI before Steele informed the FBI of the Dossier information. Or before Steele debriefed the FBI with the details in Sept . And the Trump INSIDER's information matched up to the Dossier information.

the dossier was started in april of 16.,....when law firm Perkins Coie and head of its Political Law practice, hired Fusion GPS to do opposition research on Trump ....steele was hired in june .........Steele delivered his report as a series of two- or three-page memos, starting in June 2016

They arent about the politics, they're about a job, for which they apparently do pretty good work. Read the released testimony, their discussion of what they do and how they go about it is sort of interesting.
