This doesn't particularly surprise me, since the new tax law was written so hastily with relatively little analysis. The new law may actually encourage companies to send factories overseas, not bring them to the US.

The bill that Mr. Trump signed, however, could actually make it attractive for companies to put more assembly lines on foreign soil.

Under the new law, income made by American companies’ overseas subsidiaries will face United States taxes that are half the rate applied to their domestic income, 10.5 percent compared with the new top corporate rate of 21 percent. ... So while companies will now have to pay some tax in most cases, wherever they operate, they will pay much less on what they make abroad than at home.

OK. So The Left failed in their attempt to convince people that their taxes were going up. Now they have changed gears and are trying to convince people that the bill was "hastily written" or "ill conceived" and claim that it will chase jobs overseas.

I ain't buying it. The article is speckled with might and could be and probably.
Additionally, I see that this is "reason #78", and I'd sure love to see the other 77. Or however many there are.

Are you saying the analysis is incorrect, or did you just not read it?

For some folks, taxes are going up.

For many of us, taxes are going down for a few years only, and then going back up.

I love when our Republican tax experts come out of the woodwork. Please, tell me more about your rigorous economic modelling and analysis.

weasel word MAY... then again, it MAY NOT send jobs overseas. probability is higher that it will bring more jobs to the US.

This is all faux outrage on the Left's part. They don't even want a single job coming back here and much rather we send them over seas. They have demonstrated that time in and time out.

The media and Dims been lying about the tax change forever, why stop now I guess is the motto.

I was happy that the EU is protesting the new tax law to the WTO for fear it's going to be too successful for American jobs and companies.

I don't see fear, but statements of fact.
