Well we are talking about Trump and his deplorables.

Democrats were never for a wall, nor were Republicans until the Dotard came around. There is a big difference between fencing and security and some stupid expensive wall. Of course Trump and his minions don't know or understand the difference.

Not quite.
Drones cost how much? How much to operate?
Seismic sensors cost how much? The infrastructure needed to support them costs how much?
Border Patrol agents or just placing the military on the border cost how much?

What is unreasonable about a 1 time fee for a border wall, vs an ongoing cost?

Yeah still going to need border Patrol agents no doubt. But not nearly as many to Patrol

Do any of you supporters of the Wall want to enlighten us about why Mr. Trump wants the wall to be 'transparent'?

What's reasonable about believing a 20' wall will stop a 25' ladder unless the wall's accompanied by surveillance drones or those Border Patrol agents which would still be an ongoing cost?

Someone should tell Trump and his cult. Once Trump finds out, he will no longer be interested in building a wall and may even tear down parts of the fence we already have.

I have a feeling none will answer this question. To quote Mr. Trump:

"As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don't see them -- they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It's over," Trump said. "As crazy as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall."

I agree, it does sound crazy. I wonder if the Chinese were sued for not having a transparent wall?

Of course, I realize that professionals had informed Mr. Trump that it is best if the border patrol be able to see through the other side. Mr. Trump accepted that, but felt the need to show his own stable genius by speaking of drug gangs flinging 60-pound bags of drugs over the wall, and of innocents walking along the wall, on the American side, in the desert, being struck.

I always stroll next to the border. It is so lovely this time of year.

It doesn't matter who wants the wall or doesn't want it. It will never be built.
