For illegal aliens :
Their children qualifies for all the welfare and free schools. Welfare is also a state thing. So they themselves qualify too.

For legal immigrants:
The laws are completely ignored because those on welfare tend to vote for Democrats and the Democrat slave masters need the vote to enslave more people. Many do get on welfare - I personally know quite a few.

How else do you think so many low information people are on welfare? They can't even spell their own names or get an voter ID! Do you think they would go down to the city hall, present some IDs they don't have, fill out a form that I can't even fully understand, write down an address and bank account they don't have, in a language they don't speak (Americans, illegals and legal immigrants alike), jump through government hoops?

Go live in the real world for a few days would you please!

Many immigrants are refugees! It's perfectly legal and proper for us to provide them with the basic necessities of life until they're able to reset, find employment, and continue on with their lives.

That's the whole point of offering our country as a respite for those longing for freedom in a just society.

Trump bashed an entire continent of countries and an Island formerly used as slave colony. To insult Haiti demonstrates nothing less than sheer ignorance, after those responsible for it's creation and development quickly abandoned it for self-serving capitalistic and racist reasons.

Of course, it must be admitted that there has been much corruption demonstrated by the so-called "leadership" of Haiti. They too must bear at least a share of the responsibilty of Haiti's plight.

Sorry but no, this is not entirely true.

Only US citizens and some legal aliens (after five years of residency) are entitled to federal welfare benefits.

If you know of persons receiving such benefits illegally file a complaint.

This being said by SCOTUS ruling *all* children in the USA regardless of immigration status are entitled to a public education. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plyler_v._Doe

1982 Supreme Court decision in Texas case said public schools must educate non-citizen children | PolitiFact Texas

What state or local governments provide in terms of welfare benefits is their own affair; long as it does not involve federal funding.

Under certain extreme circumstances an illegal alien may qualify for Medicaid, but again that is a state/federal partnered program. https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/ou...d-and-chip.pdf

Keep in mind as well even if one or both parents may be *illegal*, if the child is born in USA it is citizen

Children born in the US are citizens regardless of the citizenship status of their parents. States do not break federal law and grant welfare to immigrants who are precluded from receiving it. Do you really want to pursue this when it's obvious that you are mistaken?

Diatribe? "Sounding" especially superior? I have absolutely no idea what point you're intending here...

It would appear that as long as rules, laws, and treatries are to the distinct advantage of Americans with European roots, then all should strictly abide. However, whenever others appear to be better served by those very same rules, laws, or treaties, then suddenly rules and laws require amendments, or treaties get broken.

DACA people are all victims of circumstance. They were brought here by others more powerful than themselves and forced to live by the rules of those who transported them. If their presence is some form of crime or violation, then that would be the equivalent of an adult or parent who brings a child with them while they rob a bank.

So the accompanying child should be tried and sentenced along with the felonious adult?

Please! Give me a break!

DACA people are already American citizens!
Talk about alternative facts.

You brought this up before and you were corrected. Your source was an informational guide for immigrants applying for SNAP benefits in which the organization that wrote the piece said "if you are illegal you don't qualify for benefits so don't apply but you do not have to admit that you are here illegally". You put a big twist on that and tried to make it sound like the government was telling illegal immigrants to lie in order to get benefits.

You are not helping your case when you resort to outright falsehoods that are easily disproved.

SNAP requirements for proving identity and citizenship: http://chcact.org/wp-content/uploads...Checklist1.pdf

(the same requirements apply to TANF and other federal welfare programs)

I was not arguing legal or illegal. The end result is that immigrants, legal or illegal, from sh$thole countries come here to receive welfare more often.

We do. Not sure how allowing someone living and working in the US for years to become a permanent resident/citizen is favoring illegals over citizens ??

TPS = legal resident
Refugee Visa = legal resident
no visa = illegal

What we need is a rational immigration policy that does not favor illegal entry to the US over legal entry; does not support guest worker visas (H1Bs) for outsouring US jobs that actually incentivizes job creation over hiring of low priced immigrants. That does not punish those who have called the US home for 5, 10 or even 15 years.

This has never been in place in my lifetime.
