Oh God, more liberal fake news. I almost feel sorry for these people. They need help.

Already answered more than once, but sure once again.

ALL ambassadors are nominated by the President. When it's a person with 25 years in the diplomatic corps, that makes them a career appointee, not a political one.

This really isn't rocket science, people.

Thank you for proving once again that righties don't even bother to read the links they post that they mistakenly believe prove their incorrect claims

From the Newsweek article for example

Apparently some people are ignorant of the fact that ALL ambassadors are appointed by the President. That doesn't mean they are all political appointees.
and apparently you didn't read the first link

PMS-NBC lied... the Ambassador submitted his resignation back in December...stating family/personal reasons

You do understand that is given as the - no pun intended - diplomatic reason, right?

Apparently you haven't read anything BUT Fox, but yes, he did in fact state he was leaving because he could not work for Trump.

Quote:
"As a junior foreign service officer, I signed an oath to serve faithfully the president and his administration in an apolitical fashion, even when I might not agree with certain policies,' Feeley said, according to an excerpt of a resignation letter read to Reuters on Friday.

" 'My instructors made clear that if I believed I could not do that, I would be honor bound to resign. That time has come.' "

Then it is safe to assume that this Ambassador was not a career politician (you previously wrote that he was).

Right?

This is a career diplomat, not a political appointee, although no doubt Trump and the Trumplings will try to portray him as such
I have more important things to do than concern myself with some goofball in Panama quitting his job. Plenty of people waiting to replace him. In short---who cares.

Yawn.
