When the government is willing to lie to the public under oath we have to support those who are willing to expose the truth.
Dude,
Manning also might have maintained a little more credibility (though legally he would still be in the wrong) if he had only leaked specific items that he believed to indicate war crimes. Instead he did a mass dump of so much data that both Wikileaks and the media struggled to wade through it. He gave no thought at all to his fellow soldiers. He gave no thought to the lives of the people (both US and locals) that were put at risk. He gave no thought to his own oath or integrity.[/color]
You want such a dummy and mentally unstable in the government? LOL How can anybody take your 'arguments' seriously?!
“One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”
M.L.K.
“An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law”
M.L.K.
“An unjust law is itself a species of violence. Arrest for its breach is more so. Now the law of nonviolence says that violence should be resisted not by counter-violence but by nonviolence. This I do by breaking the law and by peacefully submitting to arrest and imprisonment.”

What he did is treasonous and as I have stated numerous times should have faced a firing squad.
What is your justification for considering Manning's acts treasonous?
Well,, He was an active service member in the military
Despite any opinions you have of keeping this information secret, releasing it is a crime and betraying the oaths Manning took.
He (back then a he, now a she) had sensitive information on intelligence activities in addition to the coverups they've revealed. He is a traitor who was given access to secret and sensitive data and on his own initiative, disclosed it with the knowledge and intent that it be published.

That's not the definition of treason.
