The Leftist, activist courts uphold these illegal permits, licenses, etc that INFRINGE on the rights of law abiding gun owners. NY, CA, NJ, MD, CT, MA, RI, HI and others all illegally violate the Constitution. The Supreme Court doesn't hear the cases.

If you live in NYC and own a rifle, shotgun, it MUST be registered.

Huge argument going on among my friends right now about the recert. Most of them will probably end up doing it. There's too much at stake not to, but it's a shame to see NY gun owners roll over.

As for numbers, in a couple of the northern counties, only 6,000 out of 26,000 have recertified. The county legislators are trying to get the recertification date pushed back. In typical NY sh!thole fashion, there was no effective communication letting gun owners know about this portion of the poorly done SAFE act. There are thousands of people out there who have no idea that they'll be felons in another couple weeks. I know of one guy personally who got his permit waaaaay back in the day, and it was issued for life. How the hell are guys like that supposed to know about this?

Just another cluster from NY, courtesy of Andrew Cuomo. Way to criminalize those who've never done anything wrong.

Are you kidding? New York was a backwards sh*thole when I left in '94, but they weren't that bad yet. At the time they were only full stupid on handguns.

It will be interesting how the law abiding will react to this and what the government will do about those that do not comply.
NY and CA urban liberals think they can dictate to the entire country, not just rural parts of their own states.

Just remember, these are the “common sense” restrictions that the gun grabbers talk about. I hope nobody complies...f the state. They can’t arrest everyone.

If the day ever does come where this garbage is passed federally, everyone needs to stand firm in defiance. To borrow a quote from a very wise man, we must all hang together, or we will surely hang separately.
