This is up there at the Hank Johnson Guam will "tip over and capsize" idiocy level for a congressman. But I don't doubt that he actually heard it from some constituents.
I find “chain migration” to be a way to avoid saying slavery. They were involuntary immigrants, brought as slaves. My ancestors were not brought to the U.S. but another part of the Americas, and people call it what it was. I don’t find the term chain migration offensive but rather inaccurate.
Durbin must be really upset that he didn't get what he wanted on immigration.
