What they accomplished was to show McConnell was willing to not pay the troops, was willing to keep Govt. closed. All by following the rules of the Senate. Forcing McConnell to say I object, when the Dems put legal motions on the floor for Consent motions.

McConnell owns them all.

It's sad how most still continue to pick up sides. Politicians are where they are because of their ability to play the masses.

I am glad for the kids, but that was unwise from a tactical standpoint, if DACA truly (sar) matters to Democrats.

You are on to something there.

If here was a clearer way to demonstrate the importance of voting Democrats to the Senate I don't know what it would be.

McConnell's refusal to allow a vote to fund the military is a PAC ad gift.

I blame Democratic activists who don't understand that Democrats have very little power in Washington now. At least the Republicans controlled the House when they shut down the government.

Does that make them pro illegal immigration?

Didn't Trump say he owuld support the 'dreamers'? Does that make him for illegal immigration?
Anyone who is not for deporting all adults involved in DACA kids being here as part of the deal, anyone against the Wall, anyone against chain migration, anyone against the RAISE ACT = A Pro Illegal Immigration person

The government shut down was an opening salvo in a much larger war that is being waged over the budget and immigration. I agree that Democrats were not the winners, but neither were the Republicans. The larger picture is just more erosion of Trump's tattered image. Subtle erosion, but erosion none the less. The American people are just getting more leery and weary of the Trump freak show.

"so how did Schumer block them?"

Maybe you should take course on Federal Government and find out how the Senate works.

I am interested in what you think the "inadequacies" are. and what you suggestions are.
