Schumer managed to move DACA and immigration from something the Republicans were going to ignore to the top legislative priority in the Senate. Everyone is talking DACA, DACA, DACA. The moderates own the day. Amnesty for DACA "kids" is a done deal.

They are unified ...they just realized they were skating on some very thin ice, and they had expected that President Trump would cave. He didn't.

Despited all the crowing about how Democrats caved and "We won! We won! We won!" a woman with walnuts for eye could see who actually won this showdown at the congressional corral.

If there was a clearer demonstration of how bipartisan governing works with Republicans in the majority, I don't know what it would be.

Democrats demonstrated that they put the good of the nation over petty bickering about a worthless wall.

Democrats got the funding for CHIPS, which the majority of Americans support.

Democrats got DACA. The majority of Americans support DACA.

The big get may be Democrats getting McConnell on video refusing to pay soldiers.

Ouch.

Plus, Republicans get to proudly wear their mantle of being racist bullies.

Sweet.

The deal Schumer took on Monday was the exact same deal he turned down on Friday.

All he really managed to do is totally demoralize his base... I give his props for that!

Those who believe Democrats and liberals are demoralized need to get out more.

Last Saturday would have been a good time to assess that assumption.

Saturday morning y'all were still high on the delusion your media allies could cover your asses in the Schumer Shutdown.
