Why Did Giuliani Discuss Stormy Daniels Payments to the Press?
After Rudy Giuliani unexpectedly revealed that Trump authorized the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, I wonder what his motivation is for talking about it, especially when he didn't discuss his plans to Sarah Huckabee Sanders or any other Trump PR person beforehand. Although most of us already suspected this fact, his confirmation did no favors for Trump. He spoke to numerous media sources about it, which is the exact opposite behavior of a typical defense lawyer. Some have speculated he is the one who leaked the Mueller questions. Whether he leaked the questions or not, why reveal something so damaging? This confirmation opens Trump up to further investigation. Is he really on Trump's side as he claims to be, or is he just an idiot who doesn't think before he acts?
Perhaps he mentioned it because he knows the FBI already has proof of it? Sort of a: "deflate their balloon before they can hang Trump from it" thingy.
